Dr. Ziv was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley where he attended Birmingham High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and obtained his MD degree at the University of California, Irvine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Ziv completed a five-year residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Southern California (USC). His training time was divided between the L.A. County-USC Medical Center, the USC University Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Following residency, Dr. Ziv spent a year in fellowship training at the renowned NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York with several acclaimed hand surgeons including Martin Posner, MD and Steven Green, MD.
Dr. Ziv is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the California Orthopaedic Association, and the Los Angeles County and California Medical Associations.
Dr. Ziv’s practice includes Surgery of the Hand and Elbow, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of fractures. He is also the team physician for the Chaminade High School football team. Dr. Ziv lives in the West Valley with his wife and 3 children.
