Umesh T. Bhagia, M.D.
Meet Dr. Umesh Bhagia. His relationship with his orthopaedic surgeon growing up sparked his interest in orthopaedics. He broke a lot of bones, and his surgeon became a role model of sorts.
As an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Bhagia enjoys the opportunity to play a part in making people better. He puts compassionate care first and stays up-to-date on the latest techniques in the field, including minimally invasive surgery, gender knee, hip resurfacing and computer navigation-assisted surgery. He also believes it’s important to discuss in detail diagnosis and treatment options with the patient and family to ensure the best decisions and recovery.

At this particular practice, Dr. Bhagia appreciates that the doctors’ specialties complement one another. In his time outside the office, Dr. Bhagia enjoys traveling. Originally from Baroda, India, he currently lives in the West Valley with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Bhagia completed his internship at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT, and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. In 2006, he completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. Bhagia is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
